Peter Pfeffer, a fine art photographer, is displaying images from his collection of digital photography produced over the last five years. Peter works out of his studios in Tribeca, New York and East Hampton, New York. His work embraces a wide range of artistic interests including self-portraits, surreal landscapes, and voyeuristic imagery.
Prior to pursuing this career as a photographer, Peter practiced architecture and urban planning for most of his adult life. His major cultural contributions arose from his work as an urban designer and planning consultant on development projects in the borough of Manhattan, in New York City. Peter was born in Coney Island and lived there through his pre-teen formative years. The experiences of those early years, and the surreal visual environment which enveloped him, became the tableaux from which he circumscribed his life. Peter always appreciated art and photography, and carried a camera everywhere so he could document and distill his visual experiences.
Over the last decade, while still working as an urban design and planning consultant, Peter has further developed his love for photography as a means of interpreting his visual experience and world view. Beaches, amusement parks, landscapes, and voyeuristic portraits are his palette for communicating his personal view of life.
